When I first connected on Facebook with my old Lake Country friend, Ras Robinson, he had a picture of him being silly with Beverly. It was such a cute picture, so I teased Ras and told him I couldn’t imagine the Ras I knew acting so silly.
He had a simple answer:
“We can see more clearly now. The fog has lifted.”
That’s how I feel about myself whenever I reconnect on Facebook with old friends I haven’t seen in a while. The fog has lifted. I have lived long enough following Christ, receiving his healing, claiming his promises, learning to believe him, that I understand and see—and enjoy—far more than I ever did before.
When I finally see Jesus face to face, no sin, no wounds, no misperceptions, no misplaced priorities between us…
Wow! The fog really WILL have lifted!
“Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.”
1 Corinthians 13:12
